Welcome, Women’s Crawl friends! You just set an intention and maybe let out a primal scream. Now let’s give a little intention to something else: your lube.

Here at Lotus Blooms, we’re not a creepy, sticky-floor sex store, and we don’t carry sticky lubes either. Every lube on our shelves is made up of gentle ingredients that work with a vaginal microbiome, not against it.

Slippery isn’t the same as good.
Some lubes feel super slick because they’re hyperosmolar, a fancy way of saying they pull moisture out of your cells. Literally the opposite of what you want- we want to keep that moisture inside those cells!

Tasty isn’t always kind.
Lots of flavored lubes lean on glycerin to taste sweet and feel slick. The catch: glycerin is one of the main reasons lubes end up pulling that moisture out of your cells, and if you’re prone to yeast infections, it’s one of the first ingredients clinicians suggest skipping.

You've heard of hyaluronic acid for your face...
Well, some of our lubes contain hyaluronic acid too! Yep, the same hydrator in your face serum.

(Please don’t use your face serum as lube.) HA helps hydrate vaginal tissue instead of drying it out.

Your body changes. Have a lube for every occasion.
Cycles, pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, menopause, medications, allergies, stress: bodies shift across a lifetime, and the lube that you grabbed from the drugstore at 25 might not be your lube at 45. (There are some great drugstore lubes out there...there are also some very terrible ones. Do you know which one you have?) Finding the right one is a lot like finding the right bra. What fit last year might not fit now, and the right fit changes everything.

  • Thicker lubes offer extra cushion when friction feels painful or tissue feels tender, or when you need a little extra cushion for the pushin.
  • Silicone lubes tend to last longer than water based lubes without needing to reapply as often. Perfect for when you need your lube to keep up with you! Just don’t pair silicone lube with silicone toys, since it can damage the toy’s surface.
